MagnaBioAnalytics (MBA) has developed the easiest detection system for airborne allergens in the workplace to help companies monitor levels of exposure. We have focused mainly on enzymes in cooperation with Novozymes A/S, the world leader in industrial enzymes.

Enzymes are used in numerous production processes or added to final products as active ingredients in several industries. The most well-known uses are in the laundry detergent industry and the baking industry, but enzymes are also used in the biofuel and animal nutrition industries. Some of the industrial processes are isolated and contained, while others are open and could cause exposure.

Increasing focus of regulatory bodies on potential allergens in the workplace will soon lead to regulation and possible legislation on monitoring and thresholds. MBA's technology is easy, fast, and precise. We are aiming to replace the ELISA technology which, although considered the current "gold standard," is elaborate and tedious.

MBA's technology is already being used by world leaders in the laundry detergent and baking industries to monitor airborne enzyme levels in their production areas, as a quality control system for enzyme production and to indicate the absence of active enzymes in final products.

Additionally, our technology is used in the feed industry to monitor enzyme levels in different feed blends to ensure the correct amount of enzymes is added to the feed mixture.

Currently, most of MBA's existing assays have been developed with enzymes and antibodies from Novozymes A/S. New assays can be custom developed for any enzyme or protein, as long as corresponding antibodies are supplied.
